Short summary
Mediakitster helps you build a media kit. We only collect what we need to deliver your product and run the service. We never sell your data, and we never receive or store payment card details. You don't need an account to use the service.
Who is responsible for your data
Mediakitster (mediakitster.se) is run as a Swedish sole proprietorship with organisation number 19940822-6653, which is the data controller for the processing described here. If you have questions or want to exercise your rights, reach us at hello@unwrappa.com.
What data we process
- The content of your kit. What you fill in yourself, for example your name, profile picture, bio, stats from your channels, past collaborations and rate card. This becomes part of your media kit.
- Email address at purchase. To deliver the kit, send a receipt and be able to reach you about your order.
- Payment. Handled entirely by Stripe. We see that a payment has gone through, but never receive or store card numbers.
- Usage statistics. Pseudonymised data about how the site is used (for example how many people finish building a kit), to improve the service. We use no analytics cookies.
Why we process it (legal basis)
- To carry out the purchase (contract). Create, deliver and keep your kit available, and send a receipt.
- Legitimate interest. Improve and secure the service, understand how it is used, and remind you about a purchase you started but did not complete.
If you don't complete a purchase
When you start a payment we save your finished kit and the email address you gave, so that we can deliver the kit when the payment goes through. If the purchase is never completed we may send at most one reminder email that your kit is still waiting. We never send more than that, and we don't use the data for newsletters, marketing or any other purpose.
If you don't want the reminder, reply to the email and we will remove you. You can also contact us at hello@unwrappa.com and we will delete your unpaid draft.
Cookies and analytics
We use PostHog to understand how visitors move through the service, for example how many go from the start page to a finished kit. We run the analytics in a cookieless mode: we store no analytics cookies or similar identifiers on your device, so there is no cookie banner to click away. The statistics are processed within the EU, are used only to improve the service, not for advertising, and are not shared.
The only thing we save in your browser for the statistics is where you first came from, for example “unwrappa” or “google.com”. It is the same label for everyone who came the same way, says nothing about who you are and expires after 30 days. It goes with your purchase so we can see which channels work.
If you switch the site's language, we remember your choice in a cookie so you aren't switched back on your next visit. It only stores the language you picked.
Who we share data with
We use carefully selected providers that process data on our behalf (data processors):
- Stripe: payments
- Resend: sending email
- Supabase: database and file storage
- Vercel: operations and hosting
- PostHog: usage statistics (EU)
We never sell your data and don't share it with others beyond what is needed to run the service or comply with the law.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Some of our providers may process data outside the EU/EEA, mainly in the USA (for example Stripe, Resend and Vercel). Such transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and/or the EU standard contractual clauses (SCCs). Our usage statistics (PostHog) are processed within the EU.
How long we keep data
Your kit and related data are kept for as long as they are needed to keep the kit available and to meet accounting and tax rules. If you want us to delete your data sooner, get in touch and we will do so as far as the law allows.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your data, to object to or restrict the processing, and to receive your data in a machine-readable format. Contact us at hello@unwrappa.com. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) or to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service develops. For larger changes we update the date at the top. See also our terms.
